This is an exact match to the OEM carbon fiber rear spoiler included in the optional CFZ Carbon Fiber 1 Package. Also available individually through Cadillac dealerships at retail price of $3,700. However, you can only get these from a Cadillac dealership if you originally ordered your Blackwing with the carbon fiber package. Includes all OEM style mounting points.
This will mount up directly to non-carbon optioned CT4-V Blackwings using the same mounting points. See below for our recommended installation procedure!
Our CT4-V Blackwing extra aero rear spoiler is a direct bolt-on for your CT4-V Blackwing. To remove your CT4-V Black OEM spoiler you will first need to remove the liner on the inside of your trunk lid. There are then seven nuts that will need to be removed from inside the trunk. The outer two nuts have plastic clips that need to be removed as well. The clips just have to rotate to be pointing about 30° outward to each side of the car then they will be able to pull through the trunk lid while remaining on threaded stud. It will feel like they’re not budging but the adhesive on the stock spoiler is just that strong, have to go to town with the fishing line and panel tools to pry it off.
Next step is to remove the two-way tape. The use of fishing line, as well as a good bit of patience is very helpful in working your way through all of the tape. After that, you can remove the tape residue, install your new spoiler, and reinstall the nuts, plastic clips and trunk liner.
According to GM engineers, in order to achieve maximum performance at speed, it is highly recommended that you run both the front splitter and extra aero rear spoiler in conjunction with each other.
