I had a popular tune from a well-known tuner. Logged a few dyno pulls and the car was making good power, however it was peaking at 21 pounds of boost and was running lean from what I can tell. I emailed the tuner, with my concerns and they sent me a 2 sentence reply saying my tune was safe.
Emailed Scott to see what his thoughts were. He replied quickly and honestly. I ordered the remote tune and HP Tuners and logged the car. Sure enough the KR table was all kinds of red, and it was very lean and potentially very dangerous. Scott answered every one of my questions, and worked out all the kinks. After many iterations, and removing the AFE filters, the car responds better, it runs smoother makes about the same power and most importantly the KR table looks great.
The guy is a perfectionist and he knows what he’s doing. Ordered colder plugs and will be working with him further as the car gets more mods.
Paul has already ordered colder spark plugs, which should help to eliminate his remaining knock retard.
