Our friend Johnny drove in from Massachusetts to upgrade from Blue to Purple Belt. Even with catted downpipes, we were able to hit 602 whp and 632 wtq. Notice the big power drop-off above 6,000 rpm. This is a classic sign of weak valve springs on this 89,000 mile engine. We went ahead and reduced Johnny’s rev limiter and shift points for now to help keep things as safe as possible. He will be planning to upgrade the valve springs on this car in the future.

We are excited to begin tuning this CT4-V Blackwing using HP Tuners! This is the first E99 customer car we are tuning using HP Tuners since the public release, with many more lined up on our schedule. We just shipped the ECM to @hptuners for them to unlock it, and because this car is a manual, there is no TCM to remove and send out!
