Tapout Low Pressure Fuel Pumps!

Stock ATS-V fuel systems are already starting to have difficulty keeping up above 500 whp. On every ATS-V we tune we see fuel pressure drop as we turn up the boost. The more boost we add, the worse the problem gets. Tapout Tuning is here to resolve those issues and we can provide the support for all your fueling needs!

We offer two different stages of Low Pressure Fuel Pumps designed to satisfy a wide range of applications. The Tapout Stage 1 and Stage 2 LPFPs will help to prop up your entire fuel system, compounding the gains of aftermarket high pressure fuel pumps and/or fuel cams. The best part? There is no special tuning required for our LPFPs.

The Tapout Stage 1 LPFP will support up to 675 whp on regular gasoline and the Stage 2 LPFP supports up to 950 whp on gasoline and 675 whp on E85. These are the fuel pumps that can make your horsepower dreams a reality and we are here to support that every step of the way.

Tapout Tuning is Two Years Old!

When we started this company we promised to do whatever was required to make ATS-Vs fast.  We have already helped to put eleven ATS-Vs into the tens so far, and there will be many more to come.  And these aren’t isolated cases with our own personal or in-house cars, and not just with specific sets of modifications either.

We are committed to working with the aftermarket to bring hardcore products to our little niche.  Tapout attended last year’s SEMA show in force. We are on the dyno every week testing and researching all things LF4.  Already we have introduced high duration camshafts and stronger valvesprings.  Ported throttle bodies.  Modified turbochargers.  High stall torque converters.  Carbon fiber driveshafts.  And this is only the beginning.  We are going to legitimately put some ATS-Vs into the nines this year, at full weight.  And not just our flagship car.  Some of yours too!

We vowed to solve hardware, software and tuning issues that no one else could fix.  We were first to show this community how we can easily bleed our own intercoolers, and eventually introduced a convenient DIY kit.  We were first to spec properly gapped spark plugs to this market and let everyone know how critical it is to utilize dielectric grease during the installation.  We identified and circumvented the infamous startup boost limiting timer.  We even found a way to carry the ZL1’s eLSD drag racing CCM calibration over to ATS-Vs.  There is still much more to do, and we are working diligently to resolve these issues for our community.

Tapout Now Offering Carbon Fiber Driveshafts!

You know what’s cool? Carbon Fiber. You know what’s cooler? Carbon Fiber Driveshafts from Tapout! Over the past several months we have been working with The Driveshaft Shop to develop a premium carbon fiber driveshaft that is both lighter than stock and more torsional than the factory steel driveshaft.

We decided to offer a carbon fiber driveshaft over the alternative of aluminum as it will support higher speeds for both M6 and A8 ATS-V’s; up to 200 mph! And because carbon fiber tubes are more torsional than aluminum they can twist more under load. This allows for smoother transfer of power at launch and between shifts. Better yet, these carbon fiber driveshafts are easily capable of supporting upwards of 1,000 horsepower. We love pushing this platform further and we couldn’t be happier to have a driveshaft that can support our goals!

Gigs Performance Ported Throttle Body from Tapout!

Do you want a way to easily add more power to your ATS-V that requires no additional tuning? You bet you do, because who wouldn’t want that? That’s why Tapout Tuning is happy to announce that we will be offering the Gigs Performance Ported Throttle Body!

We dyno tested this ported throttle body and saw gains of 10 to 15 whp across most of the powerband. We would expect to see even bigger gains on higher boost/horsepower applications. And it gets better; this throttle body only costs about half as much as an intake, produces more power and requires no additional tuning!

The first production run will begin shipping by April 28th, 2020 on a first come, first serve basis.

Cadillac V-Invitational 2020!

We had a great time at the Cadillac V-Invitational in Texas this weekend. Mike Franks and the Cadillac V-Club sure do know how to host a first class event!

Just like last weekend in Florida, everyone on our team pitched in. We had team members like John Williamson and Tim Jarvis come in from as far away as Minnesota to assist and hang out. All of us worked together to make each other better and achieve our personal goals. We had fun in the sun, broke many personal bests and then raised hell at a local cantina.

The 12.00 index ATS-V daily driver class was won by Zachary Styacich (stock) with a 12.03 time. He is looking forward to upgrading to a Tapout tune later this week.

The 11.50 index ATS-V street racer class was won by Dynamo Hum (Tapout) with an 11.60 pass. Runner up was Cal Smith (Tapout). Cal made two passes in the 10.95 to 10.99 range and became the eleventh Tapout tuned ATS-V to run tens. This was his first time at the track with this car, and he has only recently started to make modifications. Stay tuned!

The 10.50 index ATS-V pro mod class was won by Michael Ray Franks (Tapout) with an 10.60. Runner up was Brian Chrestoff (Tapout). Michael ran four passes in the 10.60 to 10.66 range. He is now ranked as the #3 quickest ATS-V, which is even more impressive given his race weight of 4,125 pounds!
