Tapout Tuning Tears up the ATS-V Records!

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. We could not be more proud of how our TEAM works together to make things happen.

Yesterday at Silver Dollar Raceway, Robbie Kern ran 10.716 @ 128.4 mph on 93-octane pump gas. We don’t believe anyone has ever been close to this time before without higher octane. Glenn Woods was hoping for tens, and ran 10.634 @ 127.69 mph on the stock fuel system and at full weight. Heather Swihart set a new personal best time of 10.570 @ 128.91 mph, becoming the quickest and fastest female ATS-V driver. Scott Cook, who is still learning to drive, ran 10.444 @ 137.01 mph. Jorge Munoz ran 10.328 @ 131.47 mph for a new personal best. Teddy Knisely sheared off his driveshaft bolts on the first pass. By the time he patched together a solution, he only had time for one more pass. That turned out to be enough for a new ATS-V world record time of 9.816 @ 138.83 mph.

Congratulations to everyone on your new personal bests. I’m excited to see what we can do over the next couple months in better air.

Tapout Tuning Goes Further!

Here is a new dyno chart showing how Tapout Tuning is advancing the LF4 platform to levels never before imagined. This pull was made running E55 fuel and produced more than 700 whp all the way from 5,000 to 7,000 rpm!

The current combination incorporates all our latest components, including some items that haven’t been released to the public yet. Rotating assembly is still factory and cylinder heads have not been ported. Details coming soon. Stay tuned!
