Description
During initial testing of the Black Belt Performance Package on our flagship ATS-V in January 2023, we have validated up to 836 whp over 25 dynamometer pulls and three days of racing. In March, we turned it up a bit more and made three consecutive 886 whp dyno pulls. In July 2023 we hit 926 whp, pulling strong all the way to 7,000 rpm. In the last six months, we’ve made 40 dyno pulls above 800 whp, and in August 2023 we set a new record of 1,009 whp! Check out how once again, peak power continues to climb all the way past 7,000 rpm!
Our intent is to turn this into a production kit that will be adjustable for anywhere between 800 and 1,000 whp. This will give people with basic fuel system mods the ability to keep the power turned down so they can remain within the limits of their fuel system.
The turbos we’re using are much more efficient than stock frame turbos. This means a lot less backpressure and reduced manifold air temperatures. So those with a modified fuel system and/or methanol injection as supplemental fuel should be safe close to 800 whp, even on the stock bottom end. You will still need ARP head studs, better engine oil than usual, and world class tuning. Those with supplemental fueling and forged pistons will be able to achieve 900 to 1,000 whp!
Black Belt will consist of Brown Belt, plus ATI Super Damper , Xtreme-DI fuel injectors , ARP CA625+ head studs and our soon to be released custom turbo kit. We still run the factory engine block, crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder heads, intake manifold and intercooler system. Diamond Racing forged pistons will be recommended for those that want to run insane boost and horsepower numbers.
We are currently hard at work developing this kit so that we can offer it to the masses affordably. However, there is a great deal of work involved in doing so. Our goal is to have these kits on the market by the end of calendar year 2023.
We’re in the eights, check it out below!
