These new throttle bodies are brand new factory units, ported and polished by Gigs Performance. They fit both the ATS-V and the CTS V-Sport. This is a better modification than an aftermarket intake system for several reasons.
- Costs about half as much.
- Produces excellent power gains per dollar spent.
- No tuning is required.
We dyno tested this ported throttle body and saw increases of 10 to 15 whp across most of the powerband from 4,900 to 6,400 rpm with no tuning. We would expect to see even bigger gains on higher boost/horsepower applications.
This LF4 throttle body is ported in a venturi style in front of the blade with the inlet increased from 65 mm. (OEM) to 69 mm. (ported) and tapering back to the blade where the front shaft is removed to increase the cross section. The rear side, behind the blade is left stock to allow a plug and play installation and perfect mating with the factory lower intake manifold. This throttle body installs easily with basic hand tools in 30 to 60 minutes. We recommend leaving the intercooler hoses connected. Just flip the entire upper intake manifold upside down shown in the installation image. This will eliminate the hassle of having to drain, refill and bleed the system.
