Description
These CT5-V Blackwing headers are brand new to the market and, like like all Stainless Works products, are made in the U.S.A. Tapout provided the volunteer car for fitment and design and we are purchasing the entire first production run.
2023-2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Header Kit
- For 6.2L Supercharged V8 vehicles.
- 2″ primaries with 3″ lead pipes and high flow catalytic converters.
- Connects to either factory systems or Stainless Works catback exhaust systems.
Even with high flow cats, sometimes it’s possible that DTC P0420 and P0430 will trigger for catalyst inefficiency. These codes don’t cause any drivability issues except for the loss of Remote Start functionality if you have the automatic transmission. If one or more of these DTCs does trigger, you can easily clear these codes in a few seconds using a DTC Assassin™ or Aeroforce Scan Gauge. The best possible tuning solution for these headers is our Tapout Remote Tune. With proper ECM tuning, you will retain excellent idle and drivability, maximize your power gains and experience no Check Engine light.
Question: How do Stainless Works headers compare to other brands like Kooks?
Answer: Kooks produces excellent products, and we have personally used and installed them for years alongside other reputable brands. Customers can expect the same, if not superior, quality and performance gains from Stainless Works headers as they would from Kooks, but at a much more fair price. There is no difference in quality between the two. In our opinion, Stainless Works offers a more community-focused approach, avoiding the premium pricing often associated with “Cadillac” vehicles.
The Stainless Works system was developed through a rigorous R&D process and is uniquely suited for the CT5-V Blackwing. They dedicated significant time to its development, especially in creating a complete, front-to-back valved muffler system with higher CFM flow than stock—a feature they prioritized from the outset, even when Kooks opted against it. Their R&D in this area is not comparable. Additionally, the claim that their headers maintain the stock sound doesn’t align with the significant sound alteration these headers introduce.
Stainless Works designed their headers with 2″ primary tubes, anticipating that owners who choose their products will likely pursue further modifications. This forward-thinking approach allowed them to bypass the 1-7/8″ option, ensuring the system supports future upgrades. Essentially, customers have the choice to pay quite a bit more money for Kooks, which is a great product, or invest in Stainless Works, where passion and meticulous engineering are paramount, without the inflated price. While Kooks is a business with overhead like Stainless Works, we believe their price structure reflects a commitment to the community. With Stainless Works, owners will benefit from exceptional fitment, the option to upgrade mufflers, and 100% American-made quality, just as they would with Kooks.
Their loyal following among speed shop dealers and tuners is a testament to their superior fitment, build quality, installation support, and warranty.
