A little over four years ago, we decided that our tow rig needed a little more pep in it’s step. From the factory, it’s equipped with a 6.2-liter V8, so it made good power, but good is never enough.

Enter Armageddon and their twin-turbo kit they designed for the Cadillac Escalade. We figured, “how hard could this be to adapt to a GMC Sierra?”. Well, nothing is as easy as it initially seemed, however, we persisted in our endeavor. A few weeks of custom modifications later and we had the beast up and running. After strapping it down to the dyno and completing a custom tune, we were able to pump the power up from 331 whp to 583 whp and 395 wtq to 670 wtq!

Since then, we’ve towed Cadillacs all over the country, putting  more than 75,000 more miles on the work horse without hide nor hair of a complaint. You’d be amazed what you can gap while pulling a trailer, but of course as we said, good is never enough. It might just be time we go for quadruple digits 😉.
