CT4-V Blackwing Get Great Gas Mileage!

We drive our Blackwing everyday and have really been putting it through its paces. We continue to be impressed with the unbelievable handling and refinement, not to mention how customizable the car is. You can rearrange the instrument cluster in almost infinite ways so it can be perfectly suited to the driver.

There’s no babying of this Blackwing and we’ve lost track of how many people want to race us….. Despite that, we just hit 3,000 miles and we are still averaging 20.2 mpg! That’s pretty impressive considering how often we put our foot to the floor, plus we’ve had our Blackwing on the dyno on ten different days!

Of course, we don’t purchase cars for the fuel economy, we do it for the performance and fun that comes with it. Life’s too short to drive a boring car, and we will never settle for driving something that doesn’t thrill us!

CT4-V Blackwing Easter Eggs!

As we’ve gotten to know our Blackwing better, there have been multiple “Easter Eggs” that we’ve come across throughout the car. Little details that may be missed at a quick glance are placed all over the interior and exterior. Subtle nods to the V nameplate add a level of detail that is greatly appreciated by any automotive enthusiast.

However, you’d be surprised by how little you actually see the Blackwing name listed anywhere on the car. As far as we can tell the only four places you will see the Blackwing name, on both door sills and both of the front seats.

Regardless, there are nice touches all over and there’s even one we couldn’t get to show up on camera. If you look at the taillights on both sides of the car you will notice the Cadillac crest embossed within the inner red of the taillight. It’s something most people would never notice, and that’s why we like it even more. It’s clear to us that when GM designed the Blackwing, no detail was too small. We feel lucky to drive a car that has such incredible attention to detail.

I’m sure as time goes on we will find more surprises like this, and we look forward to everything new we find!

Kyle’s Purple Belt Performance Package!

Kyle made the trip from Indiana to the Tapout Tuning Headquarters because he was unsatisfied with two previous tuners. He decided to go with our very popular Purple Belt Performance Package so he could step things up and do it right.

After completing the installation, we put Kyle’s ATS-V on our Dyno to complete the in-house tuning. We did several pulls while refining his tune and when we were finished his V produced a beautiful powerband peaking at 617 whp and 645 wtq on an ethanol blend. Kyle’s going to have some serious fun driving his Tapout Tuned ATS-V, and he’ll be hard pressed to find anyone that can keep up!
