Congratulations to Manny De La Cruz for hitting a nine second quarter mile pass at Cecil County Dragway on Saturday! He went 9.998 @ 136.06 mph in 227’ density altitude air.

Manny is running our Tapout Purple Belt Performance Package and some weight reduction. Still has OEM cams, valvesprings, turbos, front wheels and tires, driver’s seat, battery, front and rear brakes, and driveshaft. We’re excited to see how deep into the nines Manny can go with some serious weight reduction and negative density air.

Big Numbers from a Tapout Remote Tune on the Exodus Performance Dyno!

We worked with Timothy and Lilly at Exodus Performance in Texas to remote tune Edward’s 2017 ATS-V in Texas. The customer had previously worked with a different performance shop and wasn’t satisfied making only 526 whp and 508 wtq. Exodus worked through some issues with the car, then we completed a remote dyno tuning session.

Final results were 695 whp and 748 wtq using SAE correction, and 710 whp and 764 wtq using STD correction. Congratulations to Edward. This car is going to be one SCARY ride!

Paul’s In-House Dyno Tune!

A little while back we had a customer, Paul, that made the drive to our shop from New Jersey because he wasn’t happy with a competitor’s tune he was running. Now keep in mind this was when there was still quite a bit of snow on the ground as you can tell by the salt coating so we admire Paul’s determination!

His previous tune put down 502 whp and 484 wtq and he felt there was more power to be had. A couple of hours later he left with his Tapout Tune producing 528 whp and 506 wtq! That just goes to show you never know what’s left on the table. Getting your ATS-V on a dyno is a great way to safely squeeze out every last bit of power and the controlled setting really allows us to work some magic.

Just remember, ATS-Vs are meant to be driven, and driven hard. So get out there and drive yours no matter what the weathers like!
