Much like a fingerprint, no two ATS-Vs are exactly the same. While there are commonalities between them, the key is being able to fine tune each particular ATS-V so that it is performing at its absolute best.

Paul’s In-House Dyno Tune!

For those of you who live in Ohio, it’s a quick drive to the Tapout Tuning Shop where there’s a whole new world of possibilities. Paul is one of our Ohio customers and was lucky enough to pick up an absolutely cherry 2018 ATS-V A8 with only 10,000 miles on the clock.

Of course Paul doesn’t like to mess around, so with temporary tags still on he dropped his car off at our shop and went for the full Purple Belt Performance Package. Something interesting we found was that his ATS-V already had another tune on it, and the car was only producing 364 whp and 421 wtq on 93 octane pump gas. After flashing it back to stock, power actually improved to 391 whp and 424 wtq on 93 pump gas.

After we completed our Purple Belt Performance Package installation, Paul’s ATS-V is making 605 whp and 640 wtq on E56 fuel! We can assure you that after we added and additional 200 plus whp and wtq this V is on a completely different level. And that’s a level that anyone with an ATS-V would like to be on.

If you’ve never tuned or modified one of your cars we’ve got news for you: it’s badass and you’ll probably never want to stop once you get started. Do with that information what you will but know that tuning opens the floodgates for all kinds of incredible possibilities.

Kyle in Florida didn’t have any experience with modified cars before he completed his Remote Tune with us, and it’s safe to say he’ll never be going back to stock again. “All I can say is wow!! The car feels so much more lively and great to drive!”. You’re going to have so much fun driving you’ll be looking for every excuse in the book to go somewhere! There’s nothing wrong with that because after all if you’re going to own something as cool as an ATS-V, why wouldn’t you want to drive the hell out of it?

The Justins’ ATS-V on the Dyno!

From day one the Tapout Tuning shop has been full of activity. Whether one of our Performance Packages is being installed or we’re completing an in-house Dyno tune, there are no limits to what can be achieved here.

Recently, a customer drove his ATS-V in from Georgia for our Purple Belt Performance Package, in addition to the new Caddy Issues turbochargers and Tapout Stage 2 cams and springs. After completing the installation of all these killer go-fast parts we put this monster on our Dyno to see what it could do. On E87 fuel using the industry standard SAE correction factor this ATS-V put down 744 whp and 816 wtq! This is the most torque EVER produced by and LF4 engine and the area under the curve is incredible.

Take a look at the Dyno chart and notice how the torque and/or horsepower remained above 700 all the way from 4,000 to 6,800 rpm! The engine block, rotating assembly, and cylinder heads are all still stock so we do have to tip our hats to GM for providing such an excellent base to build this kind of power from. Who knows how far we will take the next ATS-V!
