Going for the Big Turbos!

Whether you’re looking for a track car, a drag car, or just an everyday driver, the ATS-V can do it all. It provides a perfect mix of excitement, comfort and style that only Cadillac could pull off. As great as it already is, throwing some speed parts and tuning at it is never a bad idea!

Darius from Maryland picked up a totally stock ATS-V and decided he wanted to go full Purple Belt Package plus Caddy Issues Turbos. He and his son made the drive to our shop where ATS-V guru and extraordinaire, Jorge completed all of the installation. After strapping the car to the dyno it made 677 whp and 693 wtq. These numbers are just a touch lower than we usually see with these turbos, most likely due to the fact that he still runs factory cams and valve springs. Even so, these big numbers still give Darius one of the top 25 most powerful ATS-Vs ever!

While our EPA catted downpipes for the CT4-V Blackwing are able to be installed without causing any check engine light, we know that people have been dying to get their hands on a set of the catless downpipes as well. Even though the check engine light they set has no adverse effects, no one wants to look at that glowing light on your dash.

To resolve that issue, our DTC Assassin™ is now available to remove all DTC codes, which includes turning off your check engine light. This module includes a user activated, momentary contact pushbutton for the function. It is not an automated ‘defeat’ device. Includes OBD2 passthrough connector, allowing you to also connect HP Tuners, Aeroforce scan gauge, MDI2, etc. without needing to unplug the DTC Assassin™.

While the stock exhaust note of the CT4-V Blackwing is already great, it’s no comparison to the rowdy and aggressive symphony you’ll hear with our catless downpipes. OEM vs. Catless downpipes video comparison to come soon!

Another Brown Belt Package in the Books!

Our good friend Manny from Pennsylvania recently set the record for the quickest and fastest ATS-V running stock turbos. He was running our Purple Belt Performance Package with Stage 2 cams, which produced peak power of 635 whp and resulted in a quarter mile time of 9.69 @ 139 mph with weight reduction.

Manny was hungry for even more so he had his ATS-V shipped to us to take things to the next level. We installed ARP head studs and the killer Caddy Issues turbochargers, upgrading to our Brown Belt Performance Package, and the car picked up 100 whp! Peak power is now 735 whp and 701 wtq with the turbos turned down some for increased safety and reliability margin. Stay tuned to see what @mannyinthev can do now!

OG Fuel Solutions Stage 2 LPFP!

We are happy to announce that we are now offering a stage 2 LPFP from OG Fuel Solutions! This pump is what we recommend with our Brown Belt Packages, or our Purple Belt Packages if you’re looking to run straight E85 and/or add extra padding to your fuel system. While our Stage 1 LPFP is more than adequate for the fueling demands of our Purple Belt, but we won’t stop you if you want to go over the top!

The OG Fuel Solutions Stage 2 LPFP beings with a brand new GM fuel basket and it is modified to fit the highest flowing in-tank pump available. It can support E0 to E99 fuels, in addition to race gas and no special tuning is required for the Stage 2 LPFP. This ‘Frankenpump’ LPFP flows 395 lph (104 gph) at 13.5 VDC. Brown Belt Package cars can now crank things up even more with this added capacity so you and your ATS-V can keep breaking hearts on the street and at the track!

OG Fuel Solutions Stage 2 LPFP

In-House Dyno Tune!

Recently, we worked with Timothy, who had just purchased an ATS-V. It was running a competitor’s tune and was only making 6 pounds of boost. Before making the trip to our shop, he installed our Intercooler Fill/Bleed Kit as a first step. That resolved the low boost issue, however, the car then started to misfire under boost.

Timothy knew he wanted to bring the car to us for a dyno tune, and he scheduled the trip here so we could resolve the existing issues and see what kind of numbers a genuine Tapout Tune could put down. Upon inspection of his plugs, we found they were gapped incorrectly and were not installed with any dielectric grease. We also found the intercooler fill valve/port was leaking, so we replaced it with a new one. We always keep these in stock as they are a common failure point. So with new plugs and fill port installed, along with another fill/bleed session, we got Timothy’s ATS-V on the dyno where it made 502 whp. That’s up from the 458 whp that we baselined the car at before making any tuning edits.

After the test drive, we knew Timothy couldn’t have been any happier with the results. Though he did say he will be back next year to upgrade to the Purple Belt Package!
