Getting the Most Power out of your ATS-V!

We get calls every day from new ATS-V owners who are wondering what it takes to hit 500, 600 and 700 whp. As innovators and aftermarket leaders in LF4 land, we are uniquely qualified to answer these questions.

Factory power level is rated at 464 peak crankshaft horsepower, which typically measures about 425 whp on our DynoJet dynamometer. The Blue Belt Performance Package includes an intercooler fill/bleed kit, colder spark plugs, carbon fiber cold air intake, ported throttle body, catless downpipes, HP Tuners and Remote Tune. Depending on your fuel octane, typical gains for this package are ~ 100 whp, putting you in the 500 to 535 whp range.

Purple Belt includes all the items found in Blue Belt, plus low pressure fuel pump, fuel cam, HPFP internals and alcohol content sensor. These fuel system modifications allow you to safely and reliably run E85 fuel and bump power up to 600 to 635 whp.

Brown Belt adds on the modified Caddy Issues turbos that walk all over the other brands, plus ARP head studs, aftermarket valve springs and titanium retainers. These cars average 700 whp, making your ATS-V virtually untouchable!

Jorge Upgrades to the Brown Belt!

If you have an ATS-V, you probably know Jorge as ‘ATS-V Racing’ on YouTube. His ATS-V is one of the most impressive we have ever tuned. It started its life as a V-Lab car, which basically means its break-in period was 3,500 miles of WOT on a race track in the desert heat!

Jorge has been modifying and tuning this car for four years now. First with no mods. Then with BOOSTane. Next he made 619 whp with our Purple Belt Performance Package on ethanol. And most recently he added Caddy Issues turbochargers and Mace camshafts, upping the ante to 738 whp and 724 wtq! This car has more than 60,000 miles on the original engine and transmission and has been down the drag strip hundreds of times still on the original engine and transmission.

Jorge drives his ATS-V exactly how it’s meant to be driven, hard and fast! His car is a true testament to the capabilities of this platform and what owning a sports car is all about.

Tapout Remote Tune of the Week!

Often times, ATS-Vs are purchased with tunes already on the car. In some cases it’s sufficient for the needs of the driver, but other times you just know your ATS-V is capable of far more.

Jose from Texas worked with our friends at Exodus Performance when he picked up his new to him ATS-V. There was already a tune and intake installed, so they completed a baseline dyno pull, and then installed our complete Purple Belt Performance Package. After getting Jose’s ATS-V back on the dyno, peak power was increased from 450 whp to 615 whp and from 475 wtq to 614 wtq! Now that’s what we call a win!

Another Brown Belt Package!

Last year our friend Kurt drove his M6 ATS-V to our shop for us to complete a full Purple Belt Performance Package with Mace Stage 1 cams, springs, and retainers. He loved how the car performed and he was driving it every chance he got!

This year, he shipped his ATS-V back to us from Tennessee for even more mods. You can never have enough power right? So we installed ARP head studs, Caddy Issues turbos and got him back on the dyno as a newly upgraded Brown Belt Performance Package ATS-V. After we completed the dyno tuning he made 706 whp with an absolutely beautiful powerband! We know Kurt will be having even more fun this summer leaving everyone else in the dust!

If you’ve recently purchased an ATS-V, you’d likely want to know everything you can about the car. Some are fortunate enough to purchase an ATS-V directly from the previous owner, so you can get all the information you need. However, if you purchase it from a dealer it can sometimes be difficult to determine the history of the car.
