Kyle’s Purple Belt Performance Package!

Kyle made the trip from Indiana to the Tapout Tuning Headquarters because he was unsatisfied with two previous tuners. He decided to go with our very popular Purple Belt Performance Package so he could step things up and do it right.

After completing the installation, we put Kyle’s ATS-V on our Dyno to complete the in-house tuning. We did several pulls while refining his tune and when we were finished his V produced a beautiful powerband peaking at 617 whp and 645 wtq on an ethanol blend. Kyle’s going to have some serious fun driving his Tapout Tuned ATS-V, and he’ll be hard pressed to find anyone that can keep up!

Our New 2022 CT4-V Blackwing has Arrived!

A moment we’ve been waiting so long for has finally arrived. This afternoon we took delivery of our brand new serial # 026 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in Electric Blue!!

We are so stoked to put this car through its paces, so it’s really going to be difficult waiting out the 500 mile break in period. But you know as soon as we have those miles down we’ll be strapping the Blackwing to our dyno to see what kind of power it really makes.

We have every intention to one day offer tuning for this car because we know GM and we know they left power on the table. While the styling is all new, it’s the same twin turbo V6 LF4 powerplant that we’ve all come to know and love. That means there’s more power to be made and better performance to be delivered. #StayTuned because we’re going to have a lot more exciting news to share as we really get to know the new Blackwing!

Gautam’s Purple Belt Performance Package Installation!

Gautam made the drive to the Tapout Tuning Headquarters from northern Ohio so we could install our immensely popular Purple Belt Performance Package. His ATS-V was sporting an M6 transmission which we love to see and man did his car look good with the wheels and ground effects he was running!

After we completed the installation we got his ATS-V set up on our dyno so we could provide a refined tune to maximize the newly available power from our top quality parts. We made several pulls to ensure that Gautam’s ATS-V was running safely and ramped things up so it produced peak power of 610 whp and 614 wtq on E57 fuel!

You want to make big power? It’s as simple as installing our Purple Belt Package, really that’s it! You’re going to leave just about everyone on the road behind before they even know what hit them.

SPEC Clutches for the ATS-V!

We spent all of last year working with multiple manufacturers in an attempt to design an aftermarket clutch for the M6 ATS-Vs. In one case a manufacturer’s clutch wouldn’t fully disengage, and in another the clutch was operational, but it had poor manners on the street. We were not comfortable selling that so we went back to the drawing board.

This year we began working with SPEC Clutch, a high end clutch manufacturer where one of our good friends actually shipped their ATS-V to them for several weeks of research and development. After some extensive testing we now have several excellent clutches we are proud to bring to the ATS-V market.

These SPEC clutches are single mass with aluminum flywheels and are 30 pounds lighter than the stock ATS-V clutch! Not only that, these clutches are also very street friendly to drive and are twin disc like OEM with upgraded 8-1/2″ Lamborghini/BMW units! That means you can be making ALL the power and still enjoy driving your V on the street. We have three different clutches to offer supporting 650, 880, and 1,025 wtq so we’ve got you covered no matter what kind of power you’re making!

Tapout Stage 2 Valvesprings and Retainers!

LF4/LF3 engines start to experience valve float around 6,000 rpm at high boost levels. Stronger valvesprings will eliminate this problem, in addition to allowing larger aftermarket camshafts to be run safely.

Our Tapout Stage 2 Valvesprings and Retainers kit are the perfect drop-in replacements to solve this and require no modification to your cylinder heads. These kits were developed in conjunction with Cal Smith of Caddy Issues and will work perfectly with our Tapout Stage 2 camshafts.

However, if you would just like to update your valvesprings, our Stage 2 kit will also work just fine with your OEM cams or our Mace Stage 1 cams. It’s up to you how you want to customize your ATS-V, so build it the way you want it!
