This week we had a customer back in the shop for us to install our Tapout cat-back exhaust system. He was here last year for a complete Blue Belt package on his ATS-V but his pieced together exhaust system wasn’t giving him the sound he was looking for.

We installed our true dual 3” 304 stainless steel exhaust system on his car and he was back on the road in no time. Since his service here last year, he’s upgraded his suspension, wheels, and headlights so this is one of the meanest looking ATS-Vs you’ll see on the streets!

Recently, Donny brought his beautiful IMSA edition ATS-V with only 16,000 miles back to our shop for our complete Purple Belt Package. He was here last summer for the Blue Belt Package and really enjoyed it, but the initial extra 100 whp wasn’t enough!

Jorge worked his magic and installed all the fuel system upgrades needed for the Purple Belt and we completed a custom dyno tune. After that was complete, Donny’s car produced 627 peak whp which is over 200 more than it came with stock!

Nathan was one of the very first CT4-V Blackwing owners to have our Tapout Tuning Downpipes installed on his car last year. Not long after that, he upgraded to our Tapout Tuning Module (TTM) so he could start to get a better feel for what this car’s potential was.

Of course, you know how the story goes…. Newfound power is always great until before long, you’re left wanting more. When duty calls, we’re there to answer, so Nathan brought his CT4-V Blackwing back to us for the Purple Belt Performance Package!

We installed the AutoTech HPFP internals, Tapout Fuel Cam, and Global B Flex Fuel Kit. This gives us the ability to create a tune that will automatically adjust anywhere from E0 all the way to straight E85! Nathan’s Blackwing left making 579 whp on 93-octane fuel and 651 whp on E60! This is our most powerful Purple Belt car ever; so, what’s the secret sauce you ask? We upgraded the stock turbos to the Pure Stage 2 Plus set, so he’s making more power with less boost! In order to keep things safe and reliable, we left the boost turned down.  Nathan’s planning to upgrade further down the road, so he’s already one step ahead!

In today’s automotive world, technology seems to be improving at a seemingly unstoppable rate. Specifically, Cadillac Blackwings function via a myriad of electronic modules and an extraordinarily complex ECM that’s lightyears ahead of where we were just five years ago. Gone are the days of getting one of your buddies to lend you a hand with something like bleeding your brakes out in the driveway.

Fortunately, our knowledge of Blackwings allows us to navigate those complex issues and provide solutions many can’t. One particular example is a repeat customer of ours who wanted to flush his brake system so he could use his preferred brake fluid for an upcoming track day. We have the brake by wire specific tools and know how to get this job done, and we were happy to get this customer back out on the road asap!

This customer shipped his CT5-V Blackwing A10 to us all the way from Connecticut eager to make some serious power and release the glorious sound that is an LT4 with headers. He opted for our GPI camshaft package which is just the ticket to achieve what he was looking for.

After completing installation of the cam package, headers, Kong ported supercharger, smaller upper pulley and throttle body, we got to work on the dyno tuning. After it was all said and done, this CT5-V Blackwing put down an impressive 767 whp on a 93-octane pump gas tune! We can assure you this is going to be one of the meanest beasts in the cul-de-sac. Keep your own ride in the garage because this monster is ready to eat them for lunch.
