This ATS-V ONLY has a Gigs ported throttle body, colder spark plugs and our Tapout EPA catted downpipes and made 502 peak WHP. Not to mention, our dyno room was at 96 degrees during tuning!
It also has a CTS-V cluster swap. We don’t carry these, but we think it’s cool. Would you do it?
Dashaun brought his car in from Michigan for us to install a ported supercharger, smaller pulley, and catted headers. During dyno tuning, we noticed it was not making nearly as much power as it should have.
After some diagnosis, we found that the car’s intercooler pump appeared to be weak. Even though the pump seemed to be operating and the system was properly filled and bled, the original pump was not flowing properly. With a new pump installed, this car produced an excellent powerband, peaking at 684 WHP with cats!
Jeff was here last summer to have us install our carbon fiber package and a set of Tapout Tuning downpipes. That carbon fiber package included the airbox lid with oversized MAF tubes, so he picked up some nice power gains but was ready for more.
He decided to jump up to the Purple Belt Performance Package plus Mace Stage 1 camshafts, valve springs and retainers. After completing a custom dyno tune, Jeff’s M6 CT4-V Blackwing put down 605 WHP, which is nearly 200 WHP over stock. The cams and springs don’t serve to increase peak power. Rather, they extend the top end of the powerband. This makes the car faster and more fun to drive!
This Blackwing now looks the part, and has the power to back it up.
Despite an ambient temperature of 97 degrees, this Tapout Tuned ATS-V still put the power to the ground.
Jeff’s ATS-V came in from Michigan fully stock, and we installed colder spark plugs and a Caddy Issues intercooler reservoir. No power mods whatsoever! The car was custom dyno tuned, and despite the heat and stock downpipes, it still put down an impressive 477 WHP!
Imagine getting gapped by a truck. This Escalade will do just that.
We spiced up this 2023 Escalade V, dropping in a built motor, upgraded camshaft, ported blower, custom headers, meth injection, and more. It now reads 735 RWHP*, and despite weighing over 6000 pounds, is a rocket.
*Due to having a single axle dyno, we were unable to get a fully accurate reading after disconnecting the front axles. The baseline number was 507 WHP, which is over 100 WHP less than typical readings partly due to the truck still sending power to the front differential. The bottom line is that we picked up 228 WHP from the 507 WHP baseline, which is more than a 300 crank horsepower gain. GM advertises the Escalade V with 682 crank horsepower, meaning with the additional 300 crank horsepower, this truck is making very close to 1000 crank horsepower on only 12 PSI of boost!
