Part of the fun of owning a fast car like the ATS-V is that you can always look for ways to make it faster. As we have learned, an aftermarket tune is one of the best ways to add power. Of course things never stop with just a tune, it’s always about chasing that extra power you know you can find. Whether it be from higher flow fuel pumps or exhaust, there are a myriad of ways we can try and get those 1/4 mile times even better. It’s almost as if you’re buying a race car right off the showroom floor. And most of you also know that GM left a lot on the table when they unleashed the ATS-V. In today’s Tapout Tune of the Week, Heather from South Carolina was on a mission to outperform her husband’s “race car” and wanted to find a tuner that could help her accomplish such a feat. No matter how many ATS-Vs we tune it never ceases to amaze us how many times we catch issues before the tune even begins. Everything from loose charge pipe hoses to intercoolers with air pockets. We don’t dare make any changes to your car’s tune before we have completed an initial scan to ensure everything under the hood is up to snuff. It’s an extra step we take to ensure the longevity and reliability of your ATS-V.

We had just such a case in today’s Tapout Tune of the Week. Guy from Texas came to us because he knew we could get him that extra power and performance his ATS-V was capable of. Upon his initial scan we detected that something was not quite right, and after looking deeper we found that his car had a boost leak from the factory! Once that was resolved we were able to continue the tuning process and as Guy said, “take his 2017 ATS-V from good to great!” You can think of Tapout Tuning as your ATS-V’s safety net, we’re always there to catch what could go wrong and make sure we stop it!

Guy was appreciative of our efforts as he has worked with tuners before. “They are typically distant, hard to reach, not helpful and blame everything that goes wrong either on the car of the end user.
