One of the most important features of our Remote Tunes at Tapout is that we always keep your engine safe. It would be easy to ignore certain safety parameters set by GM so that we could tune your car easier and quicker, but that’s not how we operate here. We take our time to ensure every safety check is still in place once we complete your remote tune. While a Tapout Tune will produce substantially more power than your ATS-V had stock, all the safety precautions are still in place. They will continue to function keeping your engine safe at all times, no matter how hard you push it.

This was something that interested one of this week’s customers, John from Georgia. If you are starting from a stock ATS-V, and don’t already own HP Tuners, start with our Remote Tune Plus. This gets you everything you need for remote tuning services. We review the scan data from your stock tune to ensure your intercooler and fuel system are functioning correctly. Next, we add all Tapout tune edits, custom tailored for your modifications and fuel octane.

We then have you scan you car at various levels, verifying everything is nice, solid and safe. From there we review the scan data and continue making small edits until you love every aspect of your tune and we love every aspect of the data logs. This typically takes one to three edits; however, we will do as many updates as it takes to dial your tune in perfectly.
