Taking the ATS-V to the Next Level!

We were back on the dyno last week as our HPFP testing and validation continued. These numbers were on E74 fuel with turbochargers cranked all the way up. We continue to make steady progress and on this day of testing  we picked up another 10 plus whp.

If you check out our dyno chart at TapouTuning.com you’ll see that we are continually improving the tune on our own ATS-V as we learn more about the car. Every time we go to the dyno we find more power, and that’s going to continue to happen. Customers with one of our Tuning Subscriptions benefit from our research by getting free tune updates every time we unlock more power. There’s nothing that excites us more than being able to push the ATS-V further, and we are excited to share these advancements with you!

Tapout Wideband Now Available!

Tapout Tuning is proud to announce that we are now offering a wideband O2 gauge! The Ballenger Motorsports AFR500 makes wideband O2 measurement to determine real time air/fuel ratio. This is an invaluable tool for making adjustments to get the most efficiency and power out of your engine when road tuning.

The AFR500 can read air/fuel ratio values from 9.0:1 to 16.0:1 for standard range. It provides a resolution of 0.1 to provide an excellent tuning range for performance vehicles. It even offers a linear analog output to be used as an input to engine control systems, gauges or data acquisition systems. This means no additional holes in your exhaust system as it can replace one of your existing rear oxygen sensors on cars without catalytic converters.

Tapout Tuning is always looking for new and exciting ways to make your ATS-V better, and this is just one of the many solutions we have to offer!

ATS-V Low Pressure Fuel Pump Now Available!

One of the main limiting factors of the ATS-V has been its OEM fuel system. The stock system consists of a low-pressure electrical pump in the fuel tank and a high-pressure mechanical pump driven by the driver’s side exhaust camshaft. Stock ATS-V fuel systems are already starting to have difficulty keeping up by 18 pounds of boost and 500 whp. We see the high pressure drop off on every ATS-V we tune as soon as boost is increased. The more boost we add, the worse the problem gets.

By adding our low-pressure fuel pump, you can provide yourself extra padding and safety when tuning your ATS-V for higher horsepower numbers than stock. This system provides a much stronger low-pressure fuel pump and will increase the low-pressure fuel system volume. It will help prop up the entire fuel system, compounding the gains of the soon to be released aftermarket high fuel pressure fuel pump and/or fuel cam. As a bonus, no special tuning is needed to run this LPFP.

Check out the graph below to see how our LPFP and HPFP with fuel cam can easily maintain full pressure at 23 psi and 600 whp on E85.

Below you can also see our new ATS-V low-pressure fuel pump!
