Charley had a good friend drive his car up from Florida to our shop in Ohio for the Blue Belt Performance Package. After installing Green high performance air filters, Gigs ported throttle body, Brisk silver racing spark plugs and Tapout resonated downpipes, we strapped the car to our DynoJet and got to work on the tuning. Peak power increased from 416 to 546 whp, with more power at every single point across the rpm range. Multiple 546 whp pulls were done back to back using E30 fuel and a custom calibration map that we created in house. We also provided a 93-octane map in case he isn’t able to locate an E85 station on his 1,118 mile trip back home.

Our team has worked tirelessly to create and develop the best possible performance parts, tuning and complete performance packages for the CT4-V Blackwing cars. We’ve made some incredible progress for a car that was originally thought to be ‘completely untunable’. What takes 15 months, 11,000 street miles, 228 dyno pulls and eight track days spread over Florida, Texas and Ohio? Crushing the 700 whp barrier for the first time ever with a CT4-V Blackwing. Today we reached a new milestone with the Brown Belt Performance Package on our flagship car when it achieved peak power of 710 whp, which is 300 whp higher than stock!

We just completed another remote dyno tune, working with the killer team at Exodus Performance in Austin, Texas. This was a 2016 ATS-V with M6 transmission belonging to Ronnie. Only mods were spark plugs and downpipes, the car put down an impressive 495 whp and 499 wtq. And as always, you’ll notice that genuine Tapout tunes produce the best powerbands around!

Our good friend Alex from Washington has a very nice 2016 ATS-V that happens to be one of the first ones we ever tuned more than four years ago. He shipped his car all the way across the country and Jorge the Magnificent went through every detail of the Brown Belt Performance Package before we moved over to the dyno. The powerband looked fantastic like usual, and peaked at 689 whp! We’ll get this car detailed and headed back out to Washington as soon as possible.

Our long-term customer and friend Chris shipped his baby all the way from California for Jorge’s magic touch. We installed our extremely popular Purple Belt Performance Package with Mace Stage 1 valve springs, titanium retainers and camshafts. First tune was fully automatic flex fuel, which ranged from 472 whp on 91-octane pump gas up to 573 whp on E60 or higher. Kill Tune is safe from E60 to E70 and put down a fantastic powerband peaking at 606 whp and 624 wtq.
