I have nothing but good things to say about Tapout Tuning.  In this day and age I find it rare that people at a company I have never met before taking such care and treated my build like it was their own.  And Scott Cook has amazing customer service skills.  It’s like we have been friends forever.  Now that’s someone I enjoy doing business with.  They installed a Purple Belt performance package on my 2023 CT4-V Blackwing.  The power is scary fast.  They did exactly what they said they would do, on time, and honored the price they quoted.  I can’t ask for any more than that.  I would and will recommend them to anyone and everyone.

When I took my CT5-V Blackwing to Tapout in 2023 there was no aftermarket support of any kind, until Scott decided to make one.  Car got every part developed and tested on it and it ran like a charm.  It was even used later on to be the first tuned Blackwing period, and post Tapout tune the car was smoother and more responsive.

Two years later I decided bolt-ons were not enough and made it my project to build the motor.  I let Scott know my exact build months before finishing so that i could have a base tune ready to go.  One day I email Scott saying my build is done and i need a tune.  He sent one over within minutes as he already started working on it back when i just first mentioned my build.  And to top it off each time it was tuned the car drove smoother than stock.  Everyone who has driven my car is blown away by how the car drives like a factory stock car, despite having a built motor and aftermarket camshaft.

Cannot stress enough how great the customer service and communication is.  I have close friends who have spent 10-20 times more at shops who then wait days between replies to catastrophic failures.  Meanwhile I show some intent on a motor build and have a tune ready to go.  Cannot recommend enough

I’m not a person who gives many reviews, but I thought this one was very deserving.  I bought a 2017 ATS-V earlier this year and it wasn’t running right due to the aftermarket cold air intake, and also wanted to make it faster without worrying about hurting anything.  I don’t know anything about tuning myself, so after researching tuners online I decided to go with Scott Cook at Tapout Tuning for a remote tune.  Confirming everything I’ve read about him, he was very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous from the beginning and did a great job making it much faster, especially after I installed upgraded plugs and had the TCM unlocked.  It’s a very noticeable difference for anyone that is debating turning their ATS-V up, and doing so for a reasonable amount of money.  He went above and beyond and I highly recommend Tapout Tuning to anyone who has a car they specialize in.
