Ethan in California had a lot to consider when he decided it was time to tune and modify his ATS-V. There are a ton of options we provide so he wanted to consider what the best game plan would be for his ATS-V.

Tapout Tuning Goes Racing!

Tapout Tuning was proud to once again sponsor the first class Cadillac V-Series Racing Top Gun Invitational.  If you haven’t attended this event, we encourage you to put it on your schedule for next year.  Everyone gets unlimited quarter mile passes on a well prepped track and you can even enter multiple race classes.  The class winners receive really nice plaques, cash, and some other goodies as well!

There were six ATS-Vs who ran ten second quarter mile times in the Texas heat.  Five were Tapout Tuned and one was Hennessey tuned.

Congratulations to Jim Cappiello in his 2016 ATS-V, who won the ATS-V Pro Modified class with his .051 second reaction time!  Jorge Munoz drove 2,000 miles to attend this event and earned the runner up spot.  Michael Franks got runner up in the combined ATS-V | CTS-V Street Racer class.  We would also like to give props to Spencer Beall.  On his first time at the track with his 2018 ATS-V Championship Edition, he ran 12.33 on the stock tune and tires.  We then flashed in a Tapout Tune and he went 11.66, winning the combined ATS-V | CTS-V Daily Driver class!

While other tuners sit at their kitchen tables, we are proud to sponsor all the major events.  We drive cross country to attend these races to show what our tunes can really do.  Instead of making excuses about the drive or the heat, we’re in the pits, making friends, perfecting tunes, and setting records.  Come join us!

Tapout Tune of the Week!

There is no limit to how far Tapout Tuning can reach. We’d tune an ATS-V on the moon if someone figured out how to get one there. In the meantime, we just had our first Remote Tune customer from France.

Pierre was looking for improved performance and Dragy times with his ATS-V. We hooked him up with a set of our downpipes and after some time working with him we had his V completely dialed in. We were really happy with how things turned out, especially since Pierre  wasn’t familiar with this process when we started. “This is my first remote tune. I gained three seconds at 60 to 130 mph just with downpipes and tune on 93 octane. I am 200% satisfied and I discovered a new car”.

France isn’t quite as far as the moon, but it just goes to show that no matter where you are in the world Tapout Tuning has got your back!

Paul’s White Belt Performance Package!

It’s always a treat to work on an ATS-V that’s bone stock and hasn’t had any work done to it whatsoever. It reminds us just how far we’ve come with this platform and why we enjoy working on these cars so much.

Paul drove down from Michigan to have us install our complete White Belt Performance Package and got to see just how much of a difference it makes from stock. After installing new spark plugs, our intercooler fill/bleed kit and giving his car a thorough once over it was time for the tuning to begin.

With some time on the Dyno, Paul’s newly Tapout Tuned ATS-V made 472 whp and 481 wtq SAE with stock catalytic converters. The overall gains from the tune only were 60 to 70 whp and wtq in the mid-range! His car produced a beautiful powerband , and after a test drive we could tell Paul was thrilled with the results. Thanks for spending the day with us Paul!
