Congratulations to Justin Schmidt!

Tapout would like to congratulate Justin Schmidt for setting a new personal best time at Cecil County Dragway last night! Justin ran 11.070 @ 126.99 mph in his 2016 ATS-V sedan M6 with a full race weight of 3,970 pounds. His only modifications include octane booster, drag radials and a Tapout Remote Tune.

Justin’s car is a true daily driver. He does no weight reductions whatsoever and doesn’t change tires at the track. Rumor has it there was even a case of beer in his trunk, but this has not been confirmed. Justin’s new time moves him up to the number one spot in the Modified category. This is one of the huge perks of a Tapout Remote Tune, you can drive your ATS-V to the track, set a new personal best record, then drive it home! Tapout Tuned ATS-Vs now hold four of the top five spots in this category, and we’re just getting started.

Tapout Tune of the Week!

Spring is on its way and we’re more than ready to get back to the track. Tapout has big plans for this year and it’s going to be a very exciting summer! While we wait for the last of the snow to melt, we’re going to take a look at one of this week’s Remote Tunes that we completed for E.J. in Ohio.

E.J. had been driving his ATS-V stock since he purchased it but knew it could use something more to wake it up. After reading through several ATS-V pages and hearing from other drivers, he found that Tapout Tuning offered the best balance of custom performance and reliability. We were happy to work with E.J. through the whole process because it allowed us to create the perfect custom tune for him. “I feel like I have a teammate who cares about helping my car perform better and better every day. Tapout Tuned Cars Perform in Texas!

Tapout wants to extend congratulations to Michael Franks and Brian Chrestoff for putting down some incredible times at the track this weekend in their ATS-Vs. Texas Motorplex played host to the V-Racing Invitational and Tapout tuned ATS-Vs prevailed again! ATS-V Semi-Stock Class had seven cars and Brian Chrestoff won the division with a best time of 11.112 @ 121.49 mph. ATS-V Pro Modified Class had four cars and Michael Franks had the best time with a 10.868 @ 130.23 mph. Eleven ATS-Vs were at the event in total. Two had Tapout Tunes, and these were the quickest and fastest in their respective classes. If you look at the Official Quarter Mile Rankings, you can see that Tapout Tuned cars now occupy 10 of the top 20 spots. Who wants to be next?

New Products from Carlyle Racing!

Tapout Tuning continually looks for ways to improve the LF4 platform as well as new parts to help support that endeavor. There are many parts available in the aftermarket to help do this, but we are not going to recommend anything that is less than perfect for the ATS-V. We test every part we offer on our own test vehicles to ensure they perform the way we want. We are here to support the community and that means providing you with the best options available.

We are excited to offer several new kits to make your ATS-V the best performer on the track. Our first offering the is Carlyle Racing Rear Stabilizing and Trailing Arms Kit. This will help to reduce or eliminate deflection and wheel hop for killer launches. This includes all the highest quality U.S. made components necessary for this installation.

Secondly, we are offering the Carlyle Racing Rear Brakes Conversion Kit. This provides smaller diameter four-piston Wilwood calipers along with all necessary brake components. This will allow you to run as small as a 15″ wheel so you can fit the biggest tire possible without damaging the wheel wells of your ATS-V.

Finally, we are offering the Carlyle Racing Pro Launch Kit which combines the Rear Brakes Conversion Kit and the Rear Stabilizing and Trailing Arms Kit for a reduced price. Tapout Tuning Breaks Records at Cadillac Attack in Orlando, Florida!

This weekend Tapout cars were on the attack at the Cadillac Attack event in Orlando, Florida. Five Tapout tuned cars showed up at the event and all five set new personal best times!

John Kelly ran 11.316 @ 119.49 mph, earning 8th place in the Modified Category.

Brandon Downhour ran 11.244 @ 123.02 mph on stock tires, qualifying him for 4th place in the rankings.

Robbie Kern ran 11.131 @ 122.58 mph for 2nd place.  It should be noted that Tapout tuned cars now hold six of the top twelve spots in the Modified division.

Jorge Munoz ran 10.881 @ 125.48 mph, with octane boost, weight reduction and tune.  He has become the first person to be listed on all three rankings charts (Stock, Modified and Anything Goes) simultaneously.

Justin Adams and Justin Meador ran 10.802 @ 127.35 mph, solidifying their 6th place spot in the Anything Goes category.

Of course, the finals came down to Tapout versus Tapout in this epic match-up between Jorge and the Justin’s in what turned out to be the fastest ATS-V duel in history.
