Jonathan from Texas was one of our first CT4-V Blackwing Blue Belts in 2022. In 2023 he upgraded to Purple. And now for 2024 he has taken another step up to Brown Belt. His current powerband peaks at 729 whp and 732 wtq, giving him one of the most beastly Blackwings on the planet! Jonathan can run three different fuels with his current mods and tunes as follows:

• 93-octane pump gas = 551 whp
• 93-octane plus methanol injection = 643 whp
• E60 to E70 plus methanol injection = 729 whp

Steve from Texas brought his ultra cool blue M6 2023 CT4-V Blackwing in for Blue Belt upgrades and some carbon fiber parts he wasn’t able to get from Cadillac. We used the Tapout Tuning Module (TTM) and did a custom dyno tune, producing five different power levels that can be switched in seconds using the no charge cell phone app.

P1 = 440 whp
P2 = 470 whp
P3 = 492 whp
P4 = 512 whp
P5, P6 and P7 = 527 whp

We spent the last several months working with HP Tuners to figure out E01 tuning.  As it turns out, a new torque model concept is used in this controller, which is very complex, and at this time there is no means to properly generate new model data for it.  However, we were eventually able to find a solution around this obstacle.  This was the most challenging tune we have ever done.  Dozens of new VCM Editor tables needed to be defined, and many new VCM Scanner PIDs were added as well.

All the extra time and effort proved to be worthwhile.  We picked up more than 40 whp and 50 wtq throughout most of the powerband.  Then we had Brian from Brut4l Ass Kicking calculate the optimal shift points so we could program the TCM accordingly.  0 to 60 times have now improved from 4.8 to 3.8 seconds, making this car launch as hard as a CT4-V Blackwing!  These numbers were all on 91-octane fuel with no mods.  There should be even more gains with 93-octane. Franz from Maryland dropped his 2016 M6 ATS-V off for an upgrade from Purple to Brown Belt.  This is a low mileage car and it drives like new.  Amazingly, it also makes 737 whp now on E60 fuel!

Josh from Pennsylvania brought his beautiful 2023 CT5-V Blackwing in for upgrades.  We installed all the most common mods including larger throttle body, ported stock supercharger, camshaft package, auxiliary fuel pump, flex fuel kit and header system.  Josh’s final calibration is a fully automatic flex fuel tune that will work fine on any fuel from 93-octane E0 to E85.  It starts adding WOT ignition timing when ethanol content reaches E20, and hits full power by E60.  So E60 to E85 will make the same power.  Here are the results:

• 665 whp with ported supercharger and throttle body, but no tune
• 742 whp with 2.50” pulley on 93-octane pump gas (12 psi boost)
• 758 whp with 2.30” pulley on 93-octane pump gas (14 psi boost)
• 771 whp with 2.18” pulley on 93-octane pump gas (15 psi boost)
• 809 whp with 2.18” pulley on E62 fuel (15 psi boost)

All the above numbers are using SAE correction, so you can add ~ 2% if you want to see STD numbers.
