Joe’s Purple Belt Performance Package!

Joe lives a few miles from our shop and just purchased his ATS-V from someone in Texas. When he bought the car it had already been tuned by someone else, so we did a baseline Dyno pull on the existing pump gas tune to see where he was starting at. His ATS-V made respectable peak power of 498 whp and 490 wtq on 93-octane fuel.

With no changes other than our custom tuning, we improved his numbers to 518 whp and 555 wtq. That’s 20 more whp and 65 more wtq than the previous tuner could provide! We then completed several fuel system upgrades to bring him up to our Purple Belt Performance Package. After adding some ethanol to the tank we created our Flex Fuel Tune for an E50 fuel mix. Final results were 604 whp and 628 whp with a much improved powerband! That just goes to show that ATS-Vs love ethanol, and they really love proper tuning.

SPEC Clutches for the ATS-V!

We spent all of last year working with multiple manufacturers in an attempt to design an aftermarket clutch for the M6 ATS-Vs. In one case a manufacturer’s clutch wouldn’t fully disengage, and in another the clutch was operational, but it had poor manners on the street. We were not comfortable selling that so we went back to the drawing board.

This year we began working with SPEC Clutch, a high end clutch manufacturer where one of our good friends actually shipped their ATS-V to them for several weeks of research and development. After some extensive testing we now have several excellent clutches we are proud to bring to the ATS-V market.

These SPEC clutches are single mass with aluminum flywheels and are 30 pounds lighter than the stock ATS-V clutch! Not only that, these clutches are also very street friendly to drive and are twin disc like OEM with upgraded 8-1/2″ Lamborghini/BMW units! That means you can be making ALL the power and still enjoy driving your V on the street. We have three different clutches to offer supporting 650, 880, and 1,025 wtq so we’ve got you covered no matter what kind of power you’re making!

Rodney’s Blue Belt Performance Package!

Rodney made the trip to the Tapout Tuning Headquarters to have us install our Blue Belt Performance Package. He had already beat his friend with a Camaro SS by one car length, but that wasn’t good enough. He wanted to show his friend, and anyone else for that matter that he is not to be messed with!

On his baseline dyno pull Rodney’s ATS-V made 430 whp and 418 wtq, certainly respectable for stock. We completed his Blue Belt installation and after putting his car back on our dyno his V was putting down 505 whp and 493 wtq! Rodney told us he has been loving his Blue Belt Package and is already thinking about stepping it up to our Purple Belt Package!

We also have to give a shoutout to @Klotz Bros Racing. Rodney asked us about aftermarket rims and we knew just who to recommend. They set him up with a bitchin’ set of MRR FS01s in gloss black, check it out!
