I have owned several performance cars but I have never had any of them tuned due to hearing horror stories of tuners not doing a very good job. I started emailing Scott weeks before I actually purchased a tune from him and he was VERY knowledgeable and informative. Unlike other tuners, he takes a more personal/one off approach delivering proven results. After a few tuning sessions and multiple emails the car is now a monster… but only when you want it to be. It truly feels like a stock car when you are cruising down the highway but when you apply the throttle the boost comes on fast and violently. I am completely satisfied and look to working with Scott more in the near future.

After dealing with a different tuner who would not return my calls, I was told to try Scott from someone at a local car meet. Have not been this impressed before in my life! Finally found someone who gets back to you in a timely manner, helps point out issues you might have with your car and helping you to get everything running at peak efficiency. Hands Down Best Tuner I’ve Dealt With
I have owned four cars that I have altered the performance on. Most recently was a built WRX, that went through four tuners, where each one did certain things well. Now that I have the V. I can comfortably say Scott and his team make me wish Tapout could have tuned the WRX. I bought the car with plans of bringing it to Germany in the summer as the Army moved me here. I asked Scott and some other tuners of my plans. I decided to go with Tapout to tune my V. I started out with just a tune, drop-in filters and better plugs. I than decided I wanted a little more power and asked Scott his advice. He recommended down pipes. So I purchased and installed them. Then I moved to Germany, and need a revision with my tune as the fuel is better here, amongst many other things in the states. After getting the car dialed in and putting it away for the winter I wanted to experiment with the octane booster that many in the community recommended called BOOSTane, also recommended by Scott. The car is an absolute rocket now. I can’t wait to put a Tapout car on the Nürburgring soon. In closing I would say Scott’s customer service, knowledge base, willingness to expand on the platform, and his ability to be a sponge with learning what makes the LF4 really work is what makes him worth every penny!
Why Did I Wait?
The only question I keep asking myself is, ‘why did I wait’? I started talking with Scott in December 2019 because I didn’t know the first thing about tuning. Scott took the time back then to answer all of my questions no matter how simple the question was. He did this for months. Then Scott put the Stimulus Package out and I was in! I was very nervous but excited to do the tune, Scott assured me the whole way and if you follow the instructions that he lays out, you will be fine. Well, I am here to tell you, it’s better than fine, it’s awesome! My car wants to go and go she does! If you are on the fence about doing this, don’t wait!! You will not be disappointed! Scott is the ATS-V whisperer! Thank you Scott for everything! You truly are a master of your craft! I am a very happy customer!

It’s rare to find someone at the top of the game in any platform like Scott, with concierge level customer service in any business. Scott’s precision is second to none, details and steps are always concise. Step by step instructions make the tuning process simple.
I purchased a ‘16 ATS-V sedan thought to be stock other than Borla exhaust. Scott determined the car was tuned already by a previous owner when I data logged with HP Tuners software and dynoed the car. I spent several frustrating weeks dealing with securing a stock tune file and software from a competitive tuning company. Working with Tapout it took less than eight hours with the car to install plugs, data log and tune the car.
The car went from being quick, yet inconsistent to a smooth animal that barks and chirps tires on 2nd and 3rd gear shifts now. The powerband is much stronger and the car doesn’t stop pulling until you let off the gas or run out of road. No comparison to stock tune or to previous competition’s tune in peak performance, drivability and reliability.
Can’t recommend Scott and Tapout Tuning enough with handling any your Cadillac ATS-V performance needs.
