I only had my ATS-V for three weeks when I felt the need for more performance. Owning a Caddy was something I never thought of before, but I couldn’t resist having this one. It had to be fast however to go along with its sweet looks. I started reading the CadillacOwners forum and found that Scott was one of the best tuners with these cars. I had already set a date to have someone else tune it until I found about Scott of Tapout Tuning. He even worked with me during hours I thought was surprising.  The car runs great, LOVING IT NOW!!  Now I will go out looking for those Camaros, Mustangs, Corvette and BMWs. New CADDY IN TOWN! lol.  Stay safe guys.

I had a popular tune from a well-known tuner. Logged a few dyno pulls and the car was making good power, however it  was peaking at 21 pounds of boost and was running lean from what I can tell. I emailed the tuner, with my concerns and they sent me a 2 sentence reply saying my tune was safe.

Emailed Scott to see what his thoughts were.  He replied quickly and honestly. I ordered the remote tune and HP Tuners and logged the car. Sure enough the KR table was all kinds of red, and it was very lean and potentially very dangerous. Scott answered every one of my questions, and worked out all the kinks. After many iterations, and removing the AFE filters, the car responds better, it runs smoother makes about the same power and most importantly the KR table looks great.

The guy is a perfectionist and he knows what he’s doing. Ordered colder plugs and will be working with him further as the car gets more mods.

Paul has already ordered colder spark plugs, which should help to eliminate his remaining knock retard.

When I bought my 2016 ATS-V I had so many questions.  Scott was there on day one answering my questions and offering services.  He wasn’t pushy, just letting you know what he provides.

On to tuning, my car was 100% stock beside AFE intake filters.  Running these filters untuned seemed to pick up some decent power, but as we looked into the logs we found the car was running quite lean and had some Knock Retard.  Scott recommended I reinstall the stock filters and get the tune lined out first.

Currently I have one step colder plugs and a Tapout Tune.  Not only does Scott add plenty of power he does it safely and ensures your drivability remains.  He makes sure that you are happy with the product.  Hands down some of the best customer service I’ve ever had.  I look forward to finishing up my tune and would definitely recommend to a friend.

I worked with Scott on my 2016 ATS-V 6mt sedan, going through multiple iterations of the tune to nail down the performance with a tune that is specific to the configuration of my car (RP aftermarket parts). Scott was always extremely helpful and patient, taking the time to answer my questions and provide screen shots to show what he was saying / doing. I was a little skeptical going in just from previous experience with remote tunes and canned tunes that have scarred my memory. But the service here was far above anything I have had in the past. From the beginning, Scott Cook was attentive to what I desired out of the tune and sent me the needed information before my package arrived so we could hit the ground running. After a few tunes and scans we were able to smooth out my shift points, add in a bunch of power (no dyno numbers yet), and keep it safe with my modifications done to the car.
