When I bought my 2016 ATS-V I had so many questions.  Scott was there on day one answering my questions and offering services.  He wasn’t pushy, just letting you know what he provides.

On to tuning, my car was 100% stock beside AFE intake filters.  Running these filters untuned seemed to pick up some decent power, but as we looked into the logs we found the car was running quite lean and had some Knock Retard.  Scott recommended I reinstall the stock filters and get the tune lined out first.

Currently I have one step colder plugs and a Tapout Tune.  Not only does Scott add plenty of power he does it safely and ensures your drivability remains.  He makes sure that you are happy with the product.  Hands down some of the best customer service I’ve ever had.  I look forward to finishing up my tune and would definitely recommend to a friend.

I worked with Scott on my 2016 ATS-V 6mt sedan, going through multiple iterations of the tune to nail down the performance with a tune that is specific to the configuration of my car (RP aftermarket parts). Scott was always extremely helpful and patient, taking the time to answer my questions and provide screen shots to show what he was saying / doing. Looking forward to working with him more in the future as new aftermarket parts are added. Would not trust my ATS-V with anyone else.

I was a little skeptical going in just from previous experience with remote tunes and canned tunes that have scarred my memory. But the service here was far above anything I have had in the past. From the beginning, Scott Cook was attentive to what I desired out of the tune and sent me the needed information before my package arrived so we could hit the ground running. After a few tunes and scans we were able to smooth out my shift points, add in a bunch of power (no dyno numbers yet), and keep it safe with my modifications done to the car. Big shout out to Scott Cook @ Tapout Tuning. He was willing to look at a datalog of my original “custom” ATS-V tune for free.  I suspected it wasn’t a good tune but my tuner “couldn’t see anything unusual” in the log and stopped responding to me. Scott pointed out some issues with the tune and shared his thoughts on it.

Turns out that the knock sensors were desensitized to the point where my ECM would have been unable to protect my engine in the case of bad gas or rail pressure drop and my boost was poorly controlled.

Because of this I purchased Tapout Tuning’s remote tuning service and couldn’t be happier. I could tell his tune was superior on the very first iteration. The boost control felt much more linear and smoother, and yet still faster than my original tune. He was always very responsive during the datalogging process and would explain every change that was being made using the data acquired during the datalogging. I would recommend Tapout Tuning to anyone who wants to safely tune their ATS-V.

I wanna thank you for your great and professionally service. You were very very patient and kind, and gave fantastic results after spending many hours on my custom tunes (one for methanol injection and another for Toluene fuel additive).

Yesterday I ran with modded C7 Vette (cai/msd intake, headers, hi flow cats, cat back exhaust and dyno tuned ), with my Tapout Tune I took him 3 car lengths!

I also ran with F10 M5 and took him easily in about 3-4 car lengths with my new Tapout Tune.
