I’ve had several tuners and both had some success with my ATS-V, but I wasn’t satisfied with running 10.92 @ 125+. I contacted Scott Cook and made arrangements to do email style tuning with him. Very easy guy to talk to and willing to work with the customer to fix problems. We worked together to find the optimum tune, street testing on my part and a lot of time on Scott’s part working with my data logs. Scott is very patient and super skilled with this platform. I’m pleased  to say Scott did exactly what he said he could do, on 11-7-18 the car ran 10.79 @ 127+ on a no prep strip at Sonoma, CA. The 1.61 sixty foot was not my best (1.52) due to poor strip prep, so there is another .1 second available (a 10.69 or less). Can’t say enough good words for Scott’s tuning ability. My car is running quite well at this point. An added benefit of working with Scott is that he is a super nice guy, open and easy to work with. He actually answers his phone and checks texts and emails. Not your average tuner by any means. I can recommend him for your tuning needs without any hesitation.

Details on my car: New Era intake, full 3″ exhaust with 200 cell cats (+500cfm each), methanol injection and a great tune from Scott.

At first I was hesitant to tune my ATS-V but Scott made the process easy and painless along the way with immediate support and tune revisions throughout the process.

I haven’t had the car on the dyno or track yet but I can say without a doubt this car is much, much, MUCH faster than it was stock.  The car accelerated from 80-120 mph two solid seconds quicker when compared to the stock tune.

Scott was able to help me out with a street 93-octane tune as well as a more aggressive track tune with 93-octane fuel, plus a bit of octane booster in the tank as well.

You can tell that Scott truly enjoys what he is doing here and will give you top notch customer service that is hard to find anywhere else.

When I first got my ATS-V I was admittedly a little disappointed in its performance coming from a modified CTS-V2.  After getting several references I decided to go with Tapout Tuning for a little more power, and I have not been disappointed.  The tune is of course EXCELLENT.  I’ve taken down some serious competition on the track.  But there’s more to it than just that and Scott has exceeded my expectations in all areas.  He has worked with me seven days a week getting revisions to me immediately after each log, even after hours.  And he’s answered every question I’ve had.  After having a few bad experiences with remote tuners it was refreshing to work with someone so professional and punctual.  I will continue to use Tapout Tuning for my tuning needs in the future.

I only had my ATS-V for three weeks when I felt the need for more performance. Owning a Caddy was something I never thought of before, but I couldn’t resist having this one. It had to be fast however to go along with its sweet looks. I started reading the CadillacOwners forum and found that Scott was one of the best tuners with these cars. I had already set a date to have someone else tune it until I found about Scott of Tapout Tuning. He even worked with me during hours I thought was surprising.  The car runs great, LOVING IT NOW!!  Now I will go out looking for those Camaros, Mustangs, Corvette and BMWs. I had a popular tune from a well-known tuner. Logged a few dyno pulls and the car was making good power, however it  was peaking at 21 pounds of boost and was running lean from what I can tell. I emailed the tuner, with my concerns and they sent me a 2 sentence reply saying my tune was safe.

Emailed Scott to see what his thoughts were.  He replied quickly and honestly. I ordered the remote tune and HP Tuners and logged the car. Sure enough the KR table was all kinds of red, and it was very lean and potentially very dangerous. Scott answered every one of my questions, and worked out all the kinks. After many iterations, and removing the AFE filters, the car responds better, it runs smoother makes about the same power and most importantly the KR table looks great.

The guy is a perfectionist and he knows what he’s doing. Ordered colder plugs and will be working with him further as the car gets more mods.

Paul has already ordered colder spark plugs, which should help to eliminate his remaining knock retard.
