Recently came out of a modded V2 into a 2016 ATS-V loaded CPO 7,200 miles. As you can imagine, I felt a bit underwhelmed with raw power versus a pullied and E85 V2. Knew before I even took delivery it would eventually be a Tapout car!  Being that I already owned HP tuners and bumped up the mileage to 13,500 by Thanksgiving I couldn’t pass up Tapout’s Black Friday sale.  Although I planned on waiting a bit more mileage wise to tune, I just couldn’t wait, so the following Friday I decided to log the car and send to Scott.

After I got the all clear, he sent my first tune. Easy process of logging a few runs per Scott’ instructions.  By Saturday afternoon, I had my second revision which I am currently on. WOW, what a difference. Night and day around town and highway pulls. Extremely noticeable throughout all rpm ranges. Shifting is on point. Lightening fast, solid, tire chirping shifts.

I will continue to log this week and see if we need any tweaks, but in one day, Scott had my car running like a champ. Let me repeat, the entire back and forth process took a few hours (including three rounds of logging) and by mid-day Saturday, I was set. Can’t beat that service.

Anxiously waiting to see if Scott comes out with his own Tapout Down Pipes. Next on my list!

I almost went with another tuner before deciding on Scott at Tapout. I talked to a guy that I was considering buying his car instead of modifying mine. He said don’t let anyone tune your car except Scott because he had several guys tune his and Scott was the only one he would trust again. So I took his advice and paid more and got all my money’s worth and then some. So remember you get what you pay for and with Scott you get all your money’s worth and then some. From having issues dealing with a local tuner on a previous car I had in the past I was kinda skeptical of tuning again and especially a email tune.

Having talked to Scott briefly over messenger I quickly realized he actually cares and took time to explain things to me unlike my past tuner so I was sold!

I was all set to pull the trigger on a tune, then I ended up losing my job and put it off, put my hp tuner up for sale along with a laptop and wideband. I apologized for wasting his time and would be in touch down the road. He understood and didn’t try pushing anything on me and said he’d be there when ready.

Well soon later after seeing all these record setting cars I just had to be part of the family. A good friend told me don’t sell your stuff as its paid for already. I agreed, pulled my ads even though I had buyers for everything, shot Scott a email and got the ball rolling.

Since then I’ve had endless communication with Scott, numerous tune renditions from 91, 93, 93+boostane, to my new 91 winter tune. Thanks to Tapout I have a new PB of 12.12 in the 1/4. Hoping to smash that next year with a set of drag radials.

Scott is hands down the most down to earth guy with one of, if not the best company in the business. Highly recommended if your on the fence or want the best!

I can’t say enough good things about you and the way you conduct your business. In this day and age to get responses in 15 minutes or less is unheard of no matter if it is a night a weekend early in the morning you were available to help get my questions or concerns answered.

As of this writing I have a Rennick CAI, Rennick Downpipes,, DI fuel cam, Tapout LPFP, and I am just installing the torque converter as well as the Synapse BOV’s. Through every step of the process Scott has helped from dealing with my installer to answering every question I have as I am a new ATS-V owner.

The tune is amazing I swear my car is a completely different car and even more enjoyable to drive than it already was. Anyone reading this who is thinking of dealing with Scott please do so you will not be disappointed.
